Nordyx Mono thread

Innovative threads with unique and strong barbs improve the attachments to the tissue and therefore give a better lift and long-lasting result. Nordyx uses the best material that stays the longest time in the tissue to obtain maximum results – PLACL, is a combination of PCL (Polycaprolactone) and PLLA (Polylactic-acid). Biocompatible materials are resorbed by the tissue without any residues.

Stimulates the formation of new collagen, elastin, capillaries, and HA, which results in a stronger and more elastic tissue.

Stimulates angiogenesis (formation of new capillaries) which increases blood circulation and delivers more nutrition to the skin.

Long-lasting results without surgery – no scar formation or irreversible changes.

  • Nordyx P(LA/CL) suture (USP 0) remaining weight more than 60% 24 to 25 weeks after implantation.
  • PDO suture (USP 0) remaining weight less than 30% 24 to 25 weeks after implantation.
  • Nordyx P(LA/CL) sutures show very low reduction velocity compared to their weight during hydrolysis.
  • The diameter reduction of the Nordyx P(LA/CL) suture was almost invisible after 32 weeks of hydrolysis.

The Mono threads are without any cogs and come in cannula sizes of 25G up to 30G, and they are sharp cannulas. 30G cannula is also available in R-cannula (blunt cannula) for the delicate areas, like under the eyes. The MONO threads have the purpose of giving definition and revitalization to a chosen area. They can also be used for lip augmentation or lip definition. These threads can be a substitute for fillers in many cases and are very safe and easy to place in the tissue. They stay in the tissue for about 1 year before they are resorbed, and the results last often up to 2 years.

They can also be placed in a mesh-like pattern – just under the dermal layer of the skin – in the area that either has a depressed appearance and/or has wrinkles or where there is a need for a definition or tensile skin strength to a certain area.

These threads can be used in the eye area, and also in the Tear through-area. Then, most often, the 29G or 30G cannulas are used.

Nordyx has its own series of thin threads from 25G to 30G in PLACL (Polycaprolactone and Lactic Acid). The series consists of Mono threads and Screw/Double Screw threads that have many areas of application, and where the result lasts for about 2-3 years.

  • Provides stimulation to the tissue to form new collagen.
  • Provides increased circulation in the area.
  • Can be used to fill the depression in the skin.
  • Can be used to create volume in lips.
  • Can be used to erase wrinkles.
  • Can be used in the “tear through” area.
  • Can be used for general revitalization and tightening of the skin on the face, neck, and décolleté – on the hands and other places on the body.
  • Can be combined to build a strong structure in the skin.
  • Can be applied linearly, as you do with a filler, to contour or highlight certain areas of the face, e.g. in the zygomaticus area (cheekbone)
  • The threads are placed in the deep dermis or subdermally and are very easy to place.
  • The threads are located inside a cannula that is either pointed or blunt, and you may place a local anesthetic where you insert the cannula.

  • You have to sleep on your back for 3 days.
  • Don’t use cream/foundation over start and exit points for the first 3 days.
  • Don’t use your fingers in the areas that the needle has penetrated your skin.
  • Minimize your face mimic and no hard chewing in the first week.
  • Don’t wash your hair for 3 days.
  • Don’t wash the start and exit points for the first 3 days, but you can rinse with an antiseptic.
  • No facial massage or facial treatments for the first 4 weeks.
  • No difficult exercise for the first 4 weeks.
  • No exercise at all the first 14 days. Light exercise after 14 days is allowed.

Normally the thread is dissolved in the tissue after 12-18 months, but the new formation of collagen and other new tissue will give a result that lasts up to 3-5 years.
